about

About the strife of the Native Americans who have to move because of strip mining. Please share and send a link so everyone knows where it is. This is free. But encouraging everyone to please give money for court costs of the many brave individuals at Standing Rock!Give all you can.

Although this Song is about the plight of the Hopi and Navajo nations from the 90's ...a multinational mining corporation, currently interested in expanding it's mining operations onto Hopi and Navajo reservation lands. Unfortunately they would like to expand its operations by 13,800 acres, hence, intruding upon the Big Mountain residents' sovereignty and potentially threatening the reservation's environment,it has been this way for years. If the Mining company is successful in gaining a federal permit to mine the reservation, the remaining many families still face relocation. Similar to what local families in our counties face with the Fraking problems here in south-western PA. Energy companies hold town/public meetings followed by, sweet talking you into signing your land away...and then render your land uninhabitable. Sadly, families are starting to relocate. Do not drink the water!

lyrics

Who Took Away, Who Took Away? Big Mountain all the hills of the earth? A cold coyote calls, hear the thunder and the breeze to lay one's poor body down
Who Took Away, Who Took Away? Who Took Away, Who Took Away? Big Mountain- Big Mountain The Glory fight, only driven from the word of law. Treaties signed but all forgotten. Where do we stand now? The candle burns low, the Children sing, In the rain. Who lies? Big Mountain. Big Mountain! Big Mountain.
